As Head of Engineering you are a results-driven leader responsible for ensuring predictable delivery of quality software through effective management of people, processes, and technology. Your strong leadership skills foster a culture of support, growth and excitement that empowers your team to deliver at a high level. Your deep understanding of the software development lifecycle enables you to regularly identify and eliminate inefficiencies, ensuring you unblock your teams so they can focus on the product.

Your ultimate mission is to make the Beekeeper platform as relevant to as many non-desk employees as possible.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage 5-6 Engineering Managers, ensuring their teams are productive and successful
• Support team throughout the software development lifecycle to consistently deliver great software
• Collaborate effectively with other teams and functions
• Ensure high-quality and reliable software by setting and enforcing coding standards, overseeing testing and deployment processes, and continuous improvement of software development lifecycle
• Balance feature development, technical debt, and non-functional requirements
• Drive recruitment to hire the best engineers in the world

What we look for in you

• Strong hands-on engineering background in early career
• Good understanding of system design, quality management, security & compliance and DevOps
• Deep understanding of scaled delivery frameworks and their usage in practice
• Successful track record of scaling of engineering teams and processes
• Proven change management skills
• Strong leadership skills to drive engineering teams’ performance management, engineering culture and employer branding
• Excellent communication, analytic and problem-solving skills
• Based or willing to relocate to Kraków
